New York State Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez endorses Michael Blake for Congress (NY-15)

New York, NY

Today, New York State Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez endorsed her Assembly colleague Michael Blake to be the next congressional representative of New York’s 15th District.

Fernandez, who represents New York’s 80th Assembly District, said, “Mike Blake is the fighter that we need right now to represent our values in Washington. Mike has always been a strong leader on the issues that affect our communities the most. From healthcare and criminal justice reform to fighting for our NYCHA residents, he has always put the Bronx first. I am proud to support my friend Mike Blake for Congress.”

I am incredibly grateful to be endorsed by Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez in my congressional run. Nathalia is a dedicated leader in The Bronx with a strong record of improving women- and people of color-owned businesses, and promoting the importance of diversity in medicine so that medical students of color receive funding to pursue their dreams. Nathalia has always fought for change in the criminal justice system and for the betterment of her community. I am honored to have Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez’s endorsement.

Blake and Fernandez recently collaborated with the Educational Opportunity Center to provide personal protective equipment to Jacobi Hospital. They also worked on the launch of the Bronx Community Relief Fund, which has collected millions of dollars to help the Bronx recover from the coronavirus pandemic.

Fernandez joins two dozen other state legislators in endorsing Blake for Congress.

Together, we #BelieveInTheBx.

Nathalia Fernandez currently represents New York’s 80th Assembly District, a community that has held a part of her heart throughout her life.
